Down the Road

This month, we set our to take some fall family pictures (always attempting for the perfect, if unattainable Christmas card). We got some so-so pictures of us together, but I just loved these candids when our soon to be one-year-old got to be too squirrly for pictures.....

Now that Luke is walking, it's fun to watch him walk down the road with daddy. He was having so much fun and he was so proud to do it all on his own! Now that he's walking it seems like the world has opened up to him in a way that it never has before. Sure, he could look at things or touch things before, but now he can explore the woods and seek out things that he wants to seek out, not just what we think he wants to see. I know that Andy's excited to take Luke out into the woods and show him everything. Our wish for him is that he appreciates the beauty of the world, and indeed, what it has to offer just "down the road".
