First Lakewalk!

Luke has been sick lately- many days of an ear infection, high fever, and now a skin rash. We have spent so many days in a row just staying in, that we had a severe case of cabin fever setting in. So.... we decided that it was a Lakewalk was in order. It was Luke's first official Lakewalk! We really enjoyed showing Luke what we love most about living here! It really had been too cold by the lake to take him out in the past, but now the weather is finally warming up! We are praying that Luke is on a healthy upswing and we can finally start to enjoy our summer!

July 4th Fun!

We were invited to our good friend's house for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. It was fun to go over there. Our friends have a 3 year old and a baby boy that is 1 month younger than Luke. Even though Luke was a little tired and worn out from the events of the day, the boys had a lot of fun catching bubbles, and Luke enjoyed joining in the picnic and tackling his first-ever pickle!
Luke was actually awake for the fireworks display over the lake. He watched with big eyes!
And, of course, I forgot my camera back at the house.
A highlight of the night for Luke was swinging in his friend's swing. He LOVED the swing, and spent quite a bit of time in it! Our next purchase....

Luke's First Hike

We had a fun 4th of July. My sister, Heather, came to visit us. With not much time to get out between Luke's 2 naps a day, we squeezed in a quick hike. Luke's first hike! We were excited to break in the carrier that Andy's sister's friends had so nicely offered us when they were finished using it:)

The Climb

Well, Luke can now pull himself up on the side of the couch and (gasp!) climb. We caught him climbing the stairs on July 4th:

Now I guess it's safe to assume life as we know it won't be the same....

First Father's Day!

We celebrated Andy's first Father's Day while we were in Fargo. Even though it was a rainy day and our zoo outing was rained out, we still had fun relaxing as a family. Luke made a footprint wall hanging for daddy, and was so excited to help daddy open it!
The cutest part by far was Luke playing with the music card that I had gotten for Andy. Check out the reaction Luke had every time he opened it:

I cannot say enough about how excited Andy is to be a dad, and how much he loves showing Luke the world. He is a great dad, and the two of them have so much fun together!
