Clap your Hands!

Luke surprised us this morning and started clapping! We are also told he can stand up by himself without pulling up. A well meaning daddy friend told me he witnessed it (a man who does not know my rule about if me or my husband did not witness it with our own eyes, it did not happen!!). I'll report back if it really does happen :)

Grandpa Told Me So

Andy's parents visited last weekend. I just love the pictures I got of 3 generations (Luke, Andy and John)! They are going to have such a special bond!

Swingin'

Luke loves to swing! He has so much fun with anything that moves, but he has enjoyed the swing. Even with our cold summer that we have had!

Get Up, Stand Up

Luke is pulling himself up to everything he can reach these days at 9 months! His favorite thing to do at the moment is to play at his activity table. At school, he would park himself at one of those for a half an hour at times. We knew at that point we had to find one! Our goal was to give him something safe to use to stand up, but he is still finding plenty of things to keep busy with (like full glasses on side tables, ripping up daddy's biking magazines, or trying to remove the access card from the satellite dish box). We certainly have our hands full now!!! He is able to stand up now pretty steadily. He will wobble or fall from time to time. He will also step from side to side while hanging on or walk around objects or on the side of the couch. If he gets into trouble, most of the time he can put down a hand or sit himself on his bottom to fall. The big question now that he's on the move is... when is he going to walk?? Well, he isn't walking on his own yet, but he is also walking with us right now, taking steps while holding our hands. We tried to let go of him last week, and he got scared and promptly sat down, so we don't think it will be yet, but..... maybe by September?

Living in a Box

One of Luke's favorite things to do is to take rides in this box that we use for his toys!
